1. Who we are

Planneroo ("we", "us") provides social media planning, approval and publishing tools for creative agencies. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use planneroo.co.za and our app, and what we do with it.

2. Data we collect

• Account data: name, email address, password hash, workspace and team membership.
• Content data: posts, captions, media, comments and approvals you create in the app.
• Connected platform data: OAuth tokens and page/account metadata for Meta, TikTok, YouTube and other social platforms you connect, used only to publish on your behalf.
• Usage data: log data, device and browser information, IP address, and error reports used to keep the service running.
• Client review data: when an agency client opens a share link, we record their approvals and comments.

3. How we use your data

• Operate the planning, approval and publishing features you ask us to perform.
• Authenticate you and keep your workspace secure.
• Publish content to the social platforms you have connected.
• Send transactional emails (invites, notifications, security alerts).
• Diagnose bugs and improve the product.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your content to train AI models.

4. Third-party processors

We rely on a small number of processors to run the service: our cloud database and authentication provider, our email delivery provider, and the social platform APIs you connect (e.g. Meta, TikTok, YouTube). Each processes data only as needed to deliver the relevant feature.

5. Storage and security

Data is stored on managed cloud infrastructure with encryption in transit and at rest. Platform OAuth tokens are additionally encrypted at the application layer before being written to the database.

6. Your rights

You can access, export or delete your account data at any time from settings, or by emailing us. Where applicable under POPIA, GDPR or similar laws, you may also object to processing or request a copy of your data.

7. Retention

We keep account and content data for as long as your workspace is active, and for a short period after deletion to allow recovery. Backups are rotated on a rolling basis.

8. Cookies

We use strictly-necessary cookies and local storage to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

9. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced in the app or by email.
